A science of intelligence across real-world contexts can bring together clear measurement and careful interpretation with evidence about tasks, environments, states and supports.
Collaboration Routes
Organisations may help identify task demands, document environmental conditions, evaluate support systems, host ethically governed studies, contribute non-sensitive operational questions, or help test whether frameworks work in real settings.
Researchers may contribute methodological critique, construct validation, psychometrics, open science practices, theory comparison, literature review, replication design, domain expertise, or independent analysis.
The first step is not data collection. The first step is defining the question, the safeguards, the status of the work, the ownership of outputs, and the evidence needed to make a claim.
What A First Project Should Define
A first collaboration should define the research question, the population or setting, the task or environment being studied, the kind of data involved, the privacy and consent requirements, the expected output, the publication plan, and the limits of interpretation.
It should also define what will not be claimed.
This matters because the goal is not to turn organisations into testing sites or researchers into validators of a predetermined answer. The goal is to build shared infrastructure that can survive criticism.
Research Infrastructure Connection

These resources are developing research infrastructure, not finished public instruments.
They should be used carefully, versioned clearly, and connected to public research records when appropriate.
Misuse Boundaries
How Intelligence Works should not be used to rank people casually, justify exclusion, bypass existing professional standards, make unsupported claims about individuals, or launder organisational decisions through scientific language.
Collaboration is valuable only if it improves validity, fairness, transparency, and human support.
