Support How Intelligence Works
How Intelligence Works is building a public-interest research programme to understand human intelligence in use — and turn that understanding into knowledge, research infrastructure and practical tools people can use.
The work has already begun: initial research has been undertaken and developed into an academic manuscript submitted for publication, the public HIW platform has been built, and the next research programme has been defined. Funding now helps turn that foundation into an operating research programme.
What founding support can make possible

Support does not buy a conclusion.
Financial support does not create control over research questions, methods, interpretation or conclusions. Priorities may evolve as the initiative develops, and funds may be allocated according to current needs, available resources, applicable legal obligations, scientific standards and ethical responsibilities.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, a contribution should not be assumed to be tax-deductible, earmarked for a particular activity, or to create a research partnership, sponsorship right or endorsement.
Foundations, institutions and individuals considering substantial support can contact HIW to discuss funding a defined part of the research programme, infrastructure, validation work or core capacity.
